Interesting little cannon built around the 1930's

Here's a desktop cannon 14" long breechloading for .22 cal.blanks...removable firing mech., Barrel is rifled, revolving elevation handle built in 1930's Zbrojovka Brno Czech.











I've been trying to get more history on this little noise maker so far just a Dead End ...

Thats a good question Rickk, I believe nothing does but I want to make sure... Due to its age of the cannon I want to do the right thing...two sleeves inserts came with the gun..I've enclosed pictures, one holds a small primer cap the would be able ignite aload blackpowder with or without shot... Also a .22 short blank shell fits without either sleeve...still trying to find out more about this cannon builder and so on but no luck... Thanks for your compliments, maybe if someone happens to come a cross some info of this little guy it would be helpful... Ed

It kind of looks like a "G-job" made in the Czech arms factory by a machinist for himself.  They wouldn't want him taking a model of a current design out that might come into the hands of the enemy to be.

Your probably right or it could have been a gift to a high ranking offical by the arms factory..From the little research I did do there was an arms factory in Zbrojovka Brno Czech. On the carriage there is an engraved "Z" on it...I've enclosed a pic..

Actually I think on closer examination you will find there is a CZ there, the C somewhat surrounding the Z.  It is the same CZ that exists now (more or less considering there were 5 decades of communist ownership in there plus most of a decade of NAZI ownership) and makes the various CZ arms.

Fantastic Gun....... just WOW............. wish I could find that in a pawn shop.

There are a couple of  people on Jan Still's Luger page and Wehrmact.com with a lot of knowledge about Cz guns that  speak Cz and English.  Also the German Miltary forum I recently joined.  I tried my German but most speak English better that I do German.  In fact they seem to spell in  English better than I do  and have fewer typos.  (good greif I just looked it over when I wrote that and found 6, there must be more) If you email me a pic I'll post it or you can register and ask Was ist dieses? Then give the details in English.
