Got my Grand daughter's handi back with the new 357 barrel.  It was gone a total of 76 days, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.  After a good cleaning, went out in the yard and first three bullets out of the barrel measured about 1.5 inches at 50 yards with open sights and 60+ year old eyes.  I'm tickled pink.

I have to go to town tommorrow and find a scope to put on it and get it ready for the week end.  We still have two more weeks of deer season left, and the bucks are finially getting into the swing of things.

Might need to dust off the Dillon too.  Figure she'll shoot up what I have loaded pretty quick.

Update

Yesterday when I posted the results of my test fire, I didn't mention that the group was about 6 inches low at 50 yards.  At first I thought it was just me.  I haven't used open sights in years, old eyes.  I was pondering this last night when I remembered a thread from early last month by Don K, and I went back and found it.  Ends up I have the same incorrect front sight that he had.
Current front sight is .570, just like his.

Called CS first thing this morning, and after I explained my problem, she put me on hold for about a minute, and she came back and said she had the correct one that she'd send right out.  Looks like this may be a common problem with the 357 barrels.

Mute point really, as I plan on scoping it, but it still needs to be right.

It'll be a Bushnell Banner or Trophy 1.5x5 x32 shotgun scope with the circle reticle, if I can find one.  Like I said, this is primarily for a 10 yr old girl, but I imagine Grand Pa may launch a few himself.

I put a Simmons Pro Diamond shotgun, 1.5x5x32 scope on my Daughter's .357. The diamond reticle is really easy to get on target and helps her put it in the right place. I think the circle would work just as well. You got me thinking about the sights on that one now. I never shot it with open sights, just a scope.
