I second Varget.  Even Hodgdon says it is one of their most stable.

Depends on the caliber..but the Hodgdons extreams work real good..H-4198 works exceptionally well in my 45-70...H-4350 and H4831(regular & short cut ) are legendary for their performances...H1000 for the 25-06 is pretty darn good to...in other words..I kinda like the Extream powders...They have done well for me..I still use the IMR powders too...one of my favorites there is IMR 4350..and others of Hodgdons too..like BL-C2...You just need to try different ones and see what works best for ya..I have noticed a velocity drop with the non extream powders..but most of the time I can work around it if the accuracy is exceptional..

Ratumbo is supposed to be Hodgdons answer to temp extreames for the big bores.  I tried it and started getting high pressure signs fast.  Long before the velocity got near where I wanted it.  I ended up using IMR-7828 ti get the velocity I wanted.  Have not put it on a chrony during cold temps this winter.  Having trouble getting chrony to work at -40.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

The smart money is on trying to shoot a few groups under field conditions at -20º F. I'm sure the results will be enlightening, but it won't be any certain powder which will be the source of enlightenment.

I would then agree with those that said Varget. I use it in some .223, .243, and .308 loads and it performs very well in all seasons of the year.

I'm going to try Varget in my .45-70 and my .30-30.  From what I'm reading it's very accurate.
