« on: January 15, 2007, 05:44:51 AM »
Hi,
Just got back from deer hunting near Bracketville,Tx.I shot a nice 10 pt and a doe.
The buck was shot at about 100 yds using a Gary Reeder TC Encore 8 MM GNR-15 " bll iwth a Burris 3x12 scope, shooting a 185gr Rem PSP at 2470 fps.The 8MM GNR is a (405 Winchester necked down to 8MM) also shot a doe using a TC 358 GNR (445SM necked down to 357) using Hornady 180 gr XTP at 1800 fps..
The buck was shot on the shoulder and dropped at the shot ,the doe was shot at 30 yds lung/liver area and went 20 yds and dropped.

Thats great.  Nice buck.  I just kind of caught the Contender itch myself.  I would be interested in seeing a close up pic of your pistols if you can do it.   Starting out with a 7-30 Waters and plan on picking up another cal this year.

These are mostly Encore pistols but 3 are contenders, the wood on the TC Encore 8 MM GNR is fiddleback by Tim Steingass.
