 :)
I have seen several variations at Lake City.....

Dum-dum lolloipops with wrapper removed set in 2x4's with holes drilled for sticks.  Usually match is 20 rounds total.  sometimes 5 and 5 at 25 yards and then 5 and 5 at fifty yards with rimfire.  Sometimes it is lollipops at 50 yards and golf balls at 100 yards.  Last month it was 20 rounds total at golf balls at 100 yards with any rimfire.  It is seldom the same except it seems to usually be 5 shots per round with a total of 20 shots for the match.  This month we are shooting 20 rounds at bowling pins at 50 yards with any handgun, offhand only!  Main goal is to have fun and practice with the guns you have!

?  Is it rimfire or centerfire handgun? We thought it was just centerfire. Thanks! J.R.

:)  A lot of the guy like rimfire more, so that is what it usually is, but once we had lolipops at 50 yards and golfballs at 100 with any handgun.  I won with a 7-30 Waters hitting all of the lollipops and 9 out of 10 golf balls.  We have even used muliple guns.  One gun at 50 and another at 100.  We have done rimfire silouhette(sp) using 22 only with chickens at 50, pigs at 75, turkeys at 100 and rams at 125 with shootoffs being chickens at 125.  Of course we use rests!  Whatever is fun.  Had one shoot that was fast paced at 15 yards with rimfire and multiple falling plates/swinging targets.  We are supposed to have a 200 yard shoot sometime this year.

So is this sitting, prone or what.  It sounds like a lot of fun.  Just got a Tender in 7-30 and am now working up loads for it.  What loads did you use for this type event?

:)Sitting at a bench for most of it.  some standing for the action stuff.

7-30 Waters:  Nosler 120g Ballistic tips with IMR 4064 34g.  Have also used IMR 3031 at 31g.
