Im shooting the midway dogtown 50gr bullets. Very accurate and very explosive on impact. And cheap to.

My first vote, V-Max's.
Though I too have used the 50gr Dogtown bullets in my 223's and they perform pretty good. Not as good as V-Max's but I have used worse.

I would certainly think the Vmax is what your looking for. I am a little curious as to why you need a bullet that "really comes apart."

The Nosler 40 gr BT is explosive on small varmints but I also use Vmax's as well with god success.

What ever shoots best.
Its more fun to se it come apart in varment than dirt behind.

I've been loading 50 grn  Nosler CT Ballistic Silvertips and have gotten some pretty explosive results on the local groundhogs. and they are extreemly accurate to boot. They are however rather expensive so for smaller critters, ground sqirrels and such I load the Winchester 46 grn hp's.They're only 8.99 per 100 thru Cabelas.
