Dang 379 ...

You really know how to hurt a guy wanting/waiting on his first Tikka by showing all those pictures. I think it is an excellent poll and one I do not remember seeing before. I chose Deluxe HG Walnut because that is just me. I just went to my gun room and looked at what I had ....  approximately - 50% Walnut/wood ... 40% Synthetic ... 5% Laminate ... 5% camo. My .243 coyote rifle is a synthetic and it gets banged around a lot more than the rest. It is only one I have that would make no sense to have nice wood on. All in all, I like all of them. I bought them all to use and that is what I do.

I voted High-Grain Walnut cuz that is what I have also....but...

If someone were to twist my arm a little, laminate might just be my next favorite :o

Nice Walnut stock definitely looks the biz! However, expansion and contraction alter point of aim, taking them in the field messes them up.
Synthetic never alters point of aim, despite weather, and doesn't get damaged. I buy rifles for hunting not pieces of art, so synthetic it is!!

Nice to have a pristine deluxe walnut stocked rifle on the wall though!

I voted laminate because that is what I have had on other rifles, but I will be getting a synthetic stock on my next rifle due to the light weight and weather resistance.

I have one Tikka that has the laminated stock.  It's okay.  I have several that are synthetic.  They are much better than the flimsy plastic stocks used by Remchester.

Then, I have one Tikka in the original WH deluxe.  What a beautiful gun!

So, my most practical may be the synthetic, but my favorite is the deluxe!

I've always been a sucker for the look of black laminate with stainless.  But the high end walnut and rosewood cap is good looking!

I voted for Walnut to me nothing looks better. But that being said ,when I know I'm hunting the thick bad nasty stuff or climbimg a tree I take my syn. If I know I'm hunting a box blind or a nice open meadow my Hunter goes with me.
