Sako poor? I had the pleasure to be stationed at Bitburg AB, Germany in the late sixties- seveties. I purchased my first two Sako's at the Rod and Gun Club there, a .222 and a .243, both bull barrels, price for the pair $340.00 (both). When I returned to the states in 1977, after almost nine years overseas I had eleven SAko's in my cabinet. I now have:
.222
.223
22-250
.243
.244 (6mm Remington)
6.5x55 Swed
25-06
.270
.308
.30-06
.7mm Mag
.300 Win Mag
All are wearing either a Buris or Lepould scope. I don't use most of them anymore, I use the .243 and 25-06 for deer, and on occassion I take the 22-250 out to shoot coyotes, other than that they are cleaned fairly often and live in darkness in the safe. I am sure they will get some use in the future, I am 68 years old, and plan to pass them on to my grandsons shortly.
