17k hornet/22 k hornet on nef handi and contender

hi newbie here im thinking of having a 17k hornet made up on a handi will use pr rifles for the work and have them make me up a stub barrel also am considering a 22 k hor in handi or contender i have a doner barrel in the contender for a stub question is anybody using a 17 or 22 k hor on a contender or handi  and what are your results many tks for your time

Why not just get at 17 hmr barrel for the handi and have it rechambered for the 17K hornet?  Probably a lot cheaper.  Larry

i just sold my 22k hornet.  It was just as accurate as my standard hornet.  I really couldn't tell any difference in performance in it and the standard.  Great shooting gun, but not worth the additional money to me.

the 17 hmr is a rimfire the 17 k hor is a cen fire and i would like to build this cal around one of the custom 17 barrels for the handi using the stub idea as i have two contender and one encore stub barrels now and have excellent rresults with them reason for trying the handi over the contender is the base cost is much less and from what ive seen these handis are very  good shooters with a little work and i can buy a handi complete for less then a contender donner stub barrel tks for your time  ken

Crabbies3, several here have had rimfire barrels rechambered for centerfire calibers, in the .17's there have been a couple of .17 Remingtons made. Until you check the chamber specs and find something to the contrary I see no reason why you could not rechamber a .17 Mach2 barrel or even a .17 HMR H&R barrel to the .17K Hornet and fit it to a centerfire frame. Of course PR does make wonderfully accurate rifles....<><....
