I was wondering what brand, and what kind of accuracy your getting out of your contenders at 100 yards? About the best a few of us can get is 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 at best, each barrel likes a different ammo. Thanks

With a 10" match chamber I am getting 1" to 1-1/4" average with CCI Green Tag and 1" average with Federal Gold Medal Match.  High velocity stuff is ~ 1-1/2" and up.  This is with the Simmons 4.5x14 ATV scope and a solid rest and flat forearm. :)

It is not uinusual for each barrel to like different ammo.  That is just the way things are.

When you consider it is under two inches at 100 yards all that bad for a .22 rimfire?  Most rifles won't do that, and darned few pistols.  I think of .22 as a 50 yard round, and really don't loose much sleep over what it can do at 100 yards.

Well some of us do play games where we need more out of our 22 rifles and handguns.

Yes, I have made it a couple of times.  It is a lot of fun.  Always something to do with pistols of some sort.  I missed last weekend because of work.  Getting together with other people of like interest makes me shoot more and better!  Competition is good for progress!! ;D  My son is sixteen and he has gone several times with me.   ;D

With a rimfire 100 yds. is a long haul and each bbl. is a law unto itself.  Back a number of years ago I got interested in shooting gophers with one.  I called T/C and they told me their match chambered .22 L.R. sometimes shot select ammo into an inch at that distance.  I ordered one and mounted a 2X7 Redfield on it.  One calm day I took it out and put it on paper at 100 yds. using Federal American Eagles.  I was shocked to shoot several groups under an inch.  One went only 5/8 inch!  I called T/C and told the tech about it.  He said he wasn't surprised as that is the bullet they adjust the chamber for.  It engraves on the nose of the bullet upon closing the bbl. and man does it shoot.  It shoots gophers (Richardson's ground squirrels) at 100 yds. better than anyone's rifle I've ever seen.  Everyone who has seen it done is absolutely amazed.  These are great shooters!
