Double or Single action?

When hunting with your S&W revolver, do you use a double or single action trigger pull?

I think that, regardless of brand, most use single action.  Since I hunt with single actions, it's a moot point for me.

Either one is fine because you can use a double action like a single action .

Once you have learned how to use a double action, you will find no advantage to single action in a revolver.  What's the secret?  PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!

Single action for me when hunting.  Matter of fact I rarely ever shoot one in double action, I could get by with a single action gun other than the double actions fit me better.

Timing has a lot to do with it. If I see the deer far enough away to cock it without the buck hearing it, single action. But if it's up close and personal before I see it, I go ahead and fire double action to not risk spooking it.

Now that said, I usually hunt with a Bisley SA these days, but my Anaconda and 57 get mad if I don't take them out sometimes.

I know what you mean.  Gun safe jealousy is a terrible thing.  Luckily I'm a very sensitive person and take the time to see to all the emotional needs of my guns.

Single action, let's see someone kill a deer using double action at 100 yards.  I never shoot a revolver double action.
