CZ USA Model 3 in WSM calibers
« on: January 02, 2007, 05:41:27 PM »

CZ is producing the CZ USA MOdel 3, a knock off of the late great Model 70 winchester that is chambered for the Winchester WSM calibers.  Does anyone have any experience with this rifle?

CZ stopped production of this rifle a year or so ago. I think it may have had to do with the chamberings and the lawsuit over those chamberings, or perhaps less than stellar sales. I  believe the rifle used the Montana barreled action. Do a search on this forum and others and you will find some folks who thing the little Model 3 is fantastic, and others who think the rifle smells out loud. Those dealers who lists them may have them listed in their advertising, but it might be an out-of-stock item. You also listed GunsAmerica and sometimes Model 3 owners do trade off on this site.

winchester model 70 in 270 WSM (super shadow stainless or one of the other stainless models) = CZ model 3 270 WSM (or this is what I have read so far)

My neighborhood gun shop ordered three Model 3s and had to return two of them for defects. The shop owner decided not to order any more of them. Those familiar with CZ quality, which is normally very good, may be disappointed with this US built rifle.
