I can always recommend the Montana Rifleman.  Their barrels are of excellent quality, finely finished and the bores are hand lapped.  They should be able to rebarrel that M17 (I think it was the P14 action that chambered the 303 Brit but it was the M17 that was chambered in 06) without any difficulty.  A call to those folks would set that in motion for you.  Probably less than $200, shipping included.   HTH.  Mikey.

Hi There,

You will need to find some one who is experieinced with the P-14 & P-17 models as the barrel threads are square in section like a square Buttress thread and unless removed correctly it's possible to crack the reciever ring  :o The barrels are often on very .................... VERY tight.

I am simply passing on information that I was given when contemplating having a new barrel on a sported P-14 ( .303). I did have one re-chambered to .303IMP and the gunsmith had an awful job removing the new commercial (Century Arms) barrel from this sporter to re-chamber it so bear this in mind  ;) I happen to think that they make very nice sporting rifles and have 3 of them at present one of which needs a new barrel it being badly pitted with rust although it still shoots quite well  :o. The .35 Wheelan is a good choice and one whihc interests me however due to the licensing problems here one which I will not likely have..
