High Standard 20ga. Need trigger guard.
« on: December 29, 2006, 11:23:51 AM »
Got a project gun that I'm trying to put back into the hunting field, High Standard Birdwing, 20ga pump with poly choke. The trigger guard is broken right behind the trigger bow.
The stock actually moves now with the break.
Gun Part Corp. doesn't list this model, several models look just like but no trigger guard for any of them.
Any other parts outlets or anyone know someone that might have one laying around.

Thanks,
Wayne

How does the stocks looseness have anything to do with the broken trigger guard? The butt stock is bolted to the rear of the reeiver..

Nope. Just like older Stevens, Nobles and others, it actually bolts to the trigger assembly and then main bolt holding the trigger assembly to the receiver holds it all together.
A poor and weak design but common in older pumps.
Most likely the main reason I can't find a replacement, they are all broke.

Amen on the last post.. I've been there too many times!! When I went back and looked agian at the correct model I found what you were talking about.. I seriously doubt you'll have much luck but sometimes a 'guns parts' or 'gun parts lot' search on EBay will help out.. Good luck.,. If I find anysuch I'll pass it along..
