Happy birthday to me :)
« on: December 27, 2006, 12:27:14 PM »
My birthday isn't until the 31st, but my wonderful wife decided to take me shopping today. I now have a very nice looking 25-06 ultra handi.  She even let me have it early, and I was expecting her to tell me I couldn't play with it until Sunday. Now I just gotta order some dies, brass and bullets and I'll b e ready to rock.

The Bi-Pod I got for Christmas and the scope is a Baush&Laumb I had laying around.

These handi's are great. My collection is pretty well distrbuted I think. I have the following.

22 Hornet standard barrel synthetic stock w/ scope
25-06 ultra laminate stock w/scope
45-120 Buffalo Classic with FP rear sight and lowest avaliable front sight.
500 S&W with factory fiber optic sights.

I have the gap betwen 25-06 and 45-70 pretty well covered in bolt guns, but I am thinking about another handi, maybe in 7mm-08

Have you told your wife ... "I love you" today?  .....

I tell her that about a million times a day. She is a great girl. She not only allows (bad verbage, but you understand) me to have my guns and motorcycles, she PARTICIPATES!!!! She has her own dirt bike, rides with me on my street bikes and loves to go out shooting with me. Our first date was climbing a 12,000ft mountain.

Yes, she's a keeper and I love her tons.

Thanks for all the warm birthday wishes,
George

My best man was also packin in the wedding. When we were taking pictures after the wedding the photographer noticed my gun and wanted to do some pics with it too. The she said "I wish we had another one so she could hold it while you hold yours" my best man pulled out his and now in our wedding album we have this neat shot of us back to back holding the guns up, kinda like in the Charlies Angels shot.

Yep, she's a good girl.

George, it isn't any different than when Tim visits us at http://forums.handloads.com/default.asp:)  As you can see, I have several posts here too!

I think there would be a few Handiholics here who would be interested in how that bipod shoots too.  ;)

As soon as I get somthing loaded up to shoot in it and a chance to shoot I will go out and see. I'll try with the bi-pod, then with it on my benchrest suppot under the reciever, then with the bi-pod and O-ring and see what kind of groups I get each way.
