A 35 Rem as an accessory barrel??  If so, what are the chances of finding one for sale??

Nope they never did and I wish they would.  Marv (Datil) and Quick have had them made up by having .357 Mag barrels rechambered and I do believe they like them. If you want to buy one of thiers if they ever decide to sell them you are welcomed to get in line, BEHIND ME!!!!....<><.... ;D :D

I was wondering the same thing.  It seems like it could be done easily. May need to change the extractor?

Yup, that's what mine is now, but it's an ejector barrel, changing from the rimmed to rimless is the hardest part and getting the claw to fit just right to allow the case to slip in, but not allow it to slip past the claw, if it does, it keeps the action from closing. It shoots 200gr BTB FNGCs at 2130fps and -240gr Mt Baldys at 1950fps, both MOA.

It's in the will also, right Quick old buddy!!! If I ever get another .357 Mag barrel it WILL become a .35 Remington. For now I cannot think of giving up my only .357 to have it rechambered. The fact that I can shoot everyhting from .38 Special wadcutters to full house .357 Max rounds from the same gun is something I cannot give up. Plastic and wax bullets if I so desire, .38 Specials of all sorts, .357 Mags, .360 Dan Wessons, .357 Max's and .357 shot cartridges if needed. What a toy, workhorse, survival gun, protection gun, deer rifle, truck gun, squirrel gun, varmint gun, and all in one package, all I can say is WOW!!!  It's accurate, cheap, and FUN!!! As a matter of fact it even looks great, especially with the walnut Fajen stock on it!!!....<><.... ;D

But I need/want/need/want/need a .35 Remington Handi....<><.... ;)

Getting them to believe it would be a profitable venture would have to happen, which I doubt will.

I don't know Tim, all they would have to do it buy a new chambering reamer, actually not even that, just order the barrels chambered on .35 Rem from the manufacturer. hey should have all the tooling for the .357 Mag barrels already available, and as far as ejector/extractor fitting no more work involved since they have to fit the same units to any barrel they produce anyway. I think it is just stubborness on thier part, the same reason they will not fix the problem with the oversize bores on the .44 Mags, just a phone away.  Someone there is llazy, stubborn, uninformed, or incompetent, or some combination of all 4. Thank God for thier great CS department, without those dedicated and hardworking people the compnay would probably fold....<><.... :)

Marlin might think it will take away sales from their 35 Rem leverguns too, although I think it just wouldn't be a big seller to begin with, even tho we like it, it's not exactly a high tech round. :D

I can see your point Quick and after some reflection have come to one possible conclusion why I like the .35 Remington round so much:

1) It works

2) it may be low tech, but so am I!!!

Whoa here..........Quick did you say you had a .357 Max barrel turned into a 35 Rem? I thought the Max chamber is longer.
