New Barrel for S&W Model 41 --- Need the New Barrel Be Fitted?
« on: December 22, 2006, 11:40:14 PM »
I have an older "A" prefix S&W Model 41.  I would like to install both target and field grade barrels to this older frame, will these "additional barrels" require being fitted to maintain the accuracy will all appreciate from this model?  Will the "A" prefix Model 41 frame accomodate the latter manufactured barrels?

New barrels are supposed to be a drop in fit, even in older frames.
I have a 20 yr. old Model 41 for which I recently bought a new 5 1/2" barrel. It dropped in just fine.

Thanks,
