Problem with handi back from H&R
« on: December 18, 2006, 07:44:21 PM »
So I just got my frame and two new barrels in the mail today.  One thing is bothering me.  I don’t know the correct name of the art so I will just call it the release lever.  I am talking about the lever to the right of the hammer that cracks open the action.
So this release lever is very loose in the frame.  It will wiggle all around and about a ¼ inch u and down even with a barrel locked shut in the action.  If you have the action closed and shack the rifle you can hear it rattle.  Is this right? Is it something I can fix or does it need to go back to H&R?

Yeap, with all I have had and used, the same thing. Kinda irritating, but it in no way effects accuracy or functionability.
It's all good. :)

If it's not loose when the barrel is locked up, then there is something to worry about, it's supposed to be loose when locked. ;)
