Contender Carbine weight???

I'm thinking about puting together an ultra light weight hunting rifle based on the Contender Carbine?!!

If / when possible would some of you folks be willing to weigh your Contender Carbine?
Briefly tell me what components: old style or G2 frame, stock type, barrel length / contour, scope, rings & base
And tell me the overall weight?!

As much information that you'd be willing to gather and share with me would be greatly appreciated!!
This will help me continue to chase those Sheep & Goats at the tops of yonder mountains!

I have a G2 in 30-30, with the 23 inch heavy barrel, walnut stock, and a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5 variable.  Weighed 5.5 pounds without the scope, so i figure its about 6.5 with scope.  Couldn't ask for a handier little rifle.  I won't be parting with mine, that's for sure.

If you went with a shorter, tapered barrel in, say, 6.5 or 309 JDJ, I think you would have one sweet mountain rifle for sheep or mulies, even elk with the 309.
