Any Left Hand Actions
« on: December 17, 2006, 09:36:23 AM »
I recently inquired about anyone having any LH Mauser actions for sale and wish to say that any left hand action is desired (except Savage, good action, just to ugly for me).  I have a few calibers that I would like to add to my rifle collection and the only way a southpaw can get them is to build them.  Thanks

Here are a few places to start
www.montanarifleman.com
www.losokcustomarms.com Mark is a great guy to deal with and might be able to help you out.
The Montana actions are stout! Have 2 one in a tactical .308 and one I just built on a 7mm-08 platform. Hope this helps

Thge ugly part of a Savage action is personal, no biggie, but have you thought of getting a Savage action and having a barrel cut with a shoulder on it for normal (read slow and expensive ;D)  headspacing?  Just a thought.  That's assuming the barrel nut was what you thought to be the ugly part.  If you think the whole action is ugly then disregard this post ;).
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
