meuller scopes questions
« on: December 15, 2006, 04:10:44 AM »
i remember from last year that some of you used these scopes. My question is for you guys that have used them. How are they? The other question is does that circle in the 2-7-32 cause any problems in thick cover? i have a few bushnells with the circle and i find in heavy cover the circle is to heavy or thick. it causes problem with detecting small limbs and brush. Is the meuller circle thiner then bushnell?

I have a mueller 4-16x50 tactical that was on my .243. The clarity is fair for the price and the repeatability of the zero when making adjusments for distance is right on. The problem I had was the ring that has the graduations for the adjustable objective fell off the scope. So my isue with it is the durability in field conditions. Hope this helps.

I have 2 Mueller Scopes.  One is the 8.5-25x50mm Eradicator and the other is the 3-10x44mm Extreme.  I personally like them, that said I am a college student without money to got spending on Leupolds or Burris scopes.
The Eradicator is on a custom Remington 700 in 25-06, I have shot 2" 5 shot groups with it at 400 yards, so the scope is pretty good for the $200 I paid for it.
The Extreme is on my 32" 45-70 barrel, I have put some not so nice loads through the gun and they never effected the scope.

I have 6 Muellers including the 2-7x32 Multi-Shot which started out on my .30-30 Handi, but it never saw any field duty other than a couple range trips. It now resides on my 835 turkey gun, no turkeys yet, but it seems to work fine for that application and has  held up to a few 3½"-2oz loads so far. Rich uses the Multi-shot for deer hunting in Michigan, if it's good nuff for him, should be fine, but what's acceptable to one person's eyes, may not be for everyone.

boo rad, did ya contact Mueller to get the AO scale fixed, if not, why? Their CS is top notch!

I moved recently and lost the original reciept so waranty work is out of the question. I have not contacted them to discuss cost, but it is good to hear that the CS is good. That gives me a little motivation to have it done. Since it is an extra scope now I can get another handi to put it on!

Thank you Quickdtoo,
Travis

I would not just assume warranty repair is out of the question. Call Rich and discuss it with him. Explain the situation and see what he says. While I've not personally needed warranty service from them all I've heard is that the life time warranty means what it says and that they take care of you after the purchase. Call and see.
