Not sure if this is the right place to ask, the ammo section didnt look like it had a place for production ammo. Has anyone used any of the Remington managed recoil ammo in 30-06? According to their marketing they claim a 50% reduction in recoil. I came across a great deal on a Remington 700 ADL in 30-06, I am thinking about getting it for my son. Remington claims the managed recoil 30-06 has less recoil than factory .243 ammo. My son is 12 years old and very small for his age but is able to shoot 3" mag slugs out of his 20 gauge NEF single shot which is obviously a light gun.
I really cannot afford to buy him a new bolt action .243 right now, I was going to buy him a handi rifle in .243 but he has his heart set on a bolt gun like I use. The 700 ADL would run me the same as the handi rifle.
Thanks in advance for any info.
I'm glad I found this site, I belong to a good amount of gun boards but this is without a doubt the most extensive firearm related site I have seen.
