Im looking for a high-quality, sharp, strong pair of game-shears for my CHRISTmas list. Im not a big fan of plastic-coated things either. Can anybody recomend a good pair?

I've never used the things, but I imagine any of  the better online stores such as Cabela's, L.L. Beans etc. would carry good ones.

I have a pair of Gerbers that I bought many years ago at Wal-Mart.  They were under $20 if memory serves me right.  They are AWESOME for taking small game apart into small, easily managed pieces.  You will not be disappointed.

I second the Gerber's, I won some at a PF banquet years ago and they work great.  I think you will probably find them under the Fiskars name now.
