CZ factory test target ?
« on: December 05, 2006, 04:50:45 PM »
What do your Test Targets look like ?
I know this is probably shot with bulk crap ammo,
But I thought it would be better.
1.28" It looks like if it is within that 2" circle CZ call's it accurate enough.
I hope my handloads shoot better.
Let me see your test target.

What over 40 views and none of you have the test target
that came with your rifle  ::)
I'm thinking yours are all great and you don't want me to be bummed.
Or yours is really bad and you don't want to be embarrresed  ;D
And don't tell me the Dog ate it  ;D

My target looked like this one.  I have a 9.3x62 and when I got my first box of shells it shot a little over 1" at 100yds.   Maybe CZ has actual people who shoot the guns.  My 9.3 is all I ever could ask as far as accuracy.  Shoot it with a few different types of ammo and ignore the target for now.  Most of these targets are shot in gun vises by other manufactuers so when you put the stock on it, it chages every thing.  These CZ's are pretty accurate rifles for the money, give it a chance to show you what it can do.   Buckfever

The test target for my 452 American 17hmr is acceptable, although after break in, it does as good at 100yds as it did for CZ at 50m. ;)

I don't have my test target although it may be in the original box up in the attic of my barn.
I do recall that my rifle seemed to group better right off than the test target indicated. I think this is not a rare phenomenon, others seem to experience the same thing. Go figure !

from what I have been reading on other  forums that test target is just to test how the rifle  functions. It is not indiicative of the accuracy of the rifle.

the test target is not an example of accuracy, I think it just shows that the firearm functions as advertised, my .204 test target had a 1.5 in 3 shot group, my first outing with the rifle after sight in produced this 3 shot group at 100yds

My test target just showed 2 holes about 3/8" apart. Then I loaded 5 rds. and shot them with them grouping 1/4" at 100 yds. after sighting in.Mine is the 527 Varmit walnut, and with 27 grs. of H322 and a 32 gr. Sierra it shoots the best so far.(Only load I've tried)Sure is deadly on PD's.   I checked my target that came with again, and there was 2 shots in the same hole.   Digger

Actually the test target proves nothing except that the firearm is functional. It is not used to determine accuracy. I really think that CZ has a worker sitting in a corner all day making holes in these targets with an old fashined hole puncher.  ::)

New 204 Varmit - didn't get a test target.  Will, wish mine would shoot like that - nice group!  What loads and scope?
