I have not shot the Ultramax but my 1:12 .223 Handi with a regular contour barrel has shot a 3 shot group which could be covered by a dime at 100 yards using Remington 55 grain Core Lokt HP's. It sure made me happy....<><.... :)

It's for my son's ultralite

I called Ultramax, they use the 55g SP Winchester bullet
they are cheap to get
will try some

i'd recommend the 55 gr' spire points from Hornady.    they have been very accurate --  using those that have no cannelure/crimping groove in my Handi heavy-barrel'd .223.    they are reasonably priced, too.

Iuse them al the time in my 1 in 12 ultra. They will group about 1 1/2 inches at 100 yds from my rifle ,not as good as the winchester white box stuff but plenty good enough for me for coyotes and such out to 200 yds.
