do i need a new crossbow?

 i know you guys are going to laugh when i tell you about my crossbow but before you do i have killed two deer with it this year a nice doe and a seven pointer. now for the laugh i have a barnett panzer 5 i bought this new just to see if i would like xbow hunting. now that i am hooked for life do i need a better bow or will this work for another year or so .i just found a wma 20 miles from my house 5800 acres bow only thats were i killed my 7 pointer seen a 10 pointer taken this year scored 183  i have never seen so much sign in my life scrapes,rubs everywere and that is 5 min from the truck... you can hike in  an hour or so and not see any one all day.. no atvs no gun hunters..i was looking at the barnett quad 400 but am not sure back in the summer could have bought a used excaliber exocet 200 for three hundred bucks . i know STUPUD any way let me know what ya think//////////

Well I had a Barnett Ranger and I killed two deer with it too. but now that I have a Excaliber which I killed one deer with it so far this year and this is the first season I used it I am hooked on Excaliber. Every body has their preferences but I feel Excaliber makes a better bow and they have a heck of a lot better trigger.

I think it really comes down to what you want.But an old saying "if it ain't broke,why fix it"? I use a Barnett Rhino Mag and wouldn't trade it for any other.It just is up to you.Looks like to me your's work............Rick

Rick there is a big difference between your rhino mag and a panzer.  Kinda like a caddy and a yugo. That panzer is basically a glorifed ranger what is what I used to have and while they do work they are not the greatest in speed or performance and the triggers leave a lot to be desired. For that it is work there are several models of recurve Barnetts and they all use the same prod or close too it. My Ranger was a 150 pound pull and so is my Excaliber Wolverine but they are worlds apart as far as accuracy and power my Wolverine made my Ranger look like a toy and I gave it away to a guy to just play with. My other Barnett I will keep as it was given to me as a gift and it is the one that breaks open with arms that catch the string and c-o-c-k it and they do not make them anymore. That one which is higher tech still does not come close to shooting as well as my Wolverine does.  Do not mean to knock your xbow Fattdaddy as you said it does work and you did kill a couple of deer with it. Best thing to do is go to a pro shop that sells xbows and ask to shoot a couple of them and compare them to yours. I think you will see a huge difference in performance and triggers and accuracy.
