Remington 700 replacement trigger

Rifle is in .25-06. Will be used for Antelope and stand Deer hunting. Would not be using gloves or hunting in inclement weather.

Just curious???  Why not have your trigger worked over by a good smith and set to break at 3-3.5# and call it good?

I purchased a Remy 700 Mountain Rifle this year. I had  gunsmith rework the trigger and it's just fine.

For hunting the Remington trigger is just fine if properly adjusted. I feel for deer sized animals at reasonable ranges you are throwing money away with an aftermarket trigger.
If the rifle is used for long range targets or varmints then Maybe a Jewell

I have several Remington's with the factory trigger worked over.This one , for some reason, will not adjust properly. May just pick up another one on eBay, but thought I might look into a replacement.

per the instructions on www.centerfirecentral.com we've re-worked a number of Rem' triggers on M-700's with very good results.   if you're having a bad time with pull weight then you can change the spring in an attempt to get better results without buying a new trigger.

if you're having a bad time with sear engagement then you may still have to change the pull-weight spring to get it to hold the sear properly.   the factory-installed spring can be adjusted only so low before the sear engagement becomes sloppy/dangerous. 

it can be very dangerous to adjust the sear-engagement so make every attempt to be reasonable with your safety and that of others.    nobody here can guarantee your results, either.

Does sound like something wrong with that trigger.  Have had a Rem M700 factory trigger adjusted to just below 3# and its stayed put there for last 4 years.
