out ballistic the RUM?!?!?!?!?!?!
« on: November 08, 2006, 06:22:47 AM »
I found these today, never heard of them before.

First look at the ballistics tables on this page...

http://www.lazzeroni.com/ct_lacart.htm

Then the rifles...

Then tell me where I can borrow $8,000 or so....

I guess that certain asset based lenders can loan you the money.  However, that does not mean that I myself would spend 8 grand on such a rifle in such a cartridge. :)

I was looking around and found out that they made some other rifles to make a more price sensitive customers happy, and found a couple with rifle shells, dies, etc all together on gunbroker for between $1,000-$1500, the $1500 even including a scope.  The said the 16-LZ could be found for $700 just the rifle.

Sako TRG-S and Savage 16-LZ were the two lower priced.

Yeah, I know, we still dont need that much power, but I've always been a sucker for the biggest and fastest.

Oh yes, they're expensive.  To be honest, everytime I'd see someone put down and sneer at Weatherby's rifles and ammo as being way too expensive I always thought, "Gee man, have you ever heard of (a) Lazzeroni?"

Talk about paying for someone's ego right there.

I don't know much about it, but I've heard tell of a .338 A-frame, which supposidely has more case capacity and therefore the potential for higher speeds and enegry than the .338 Lazzeroni, anyone else heard of this?
