Thursday afternoon it all came together. A large doe came walking down the hollow I was hunting in. She stopped about 20 yards away and her shoulder was behind a tree but I could see just behind her shoulder. There was a place on her side where the hair was sticking out, like she had licked herself. This spot of hair was only about 2 or 3 inches off the tree but just as soon as I saw the spot everything else seemed to dissapear as my consentration locked in on the spot. I came to full draw, anchored, kept full focus on the spot of hair and released. All the practicing paid off because the arrow went out of sight right into the spot of hair.
The first thing I said in my excitment was, Thank you Lord!
I was shooting my Martin Hatfield that is 60 pounds at my draw length of 29.25 inches. I was using a Carbon Express Heritage shaft with a 100 grain 3-blade Muzzy head. The arrow went completely through the deer and stuck in the ground.
