i have a ruger mod 77 mkII ss LH 270win i want to rebarrel it to 257 wby mag  is this possible  what company would you suggest using just want as close to factory apperence as possible please help. thanx superdown ???

Wyatt has rebarreled two SS M77 Mk II rifles for my brother.  He has done a number of jobs for him over the years.  He also rebarrel or rechambered other rifles for him.

what with the time and money of a rebarrel,you might be better off selling your rifle and buying a Weatherby rifle (they come with a Krieger barrel) in .257 Weatherby mag .I a'm sure you would be well pleased .you choice but with a rebarrel you will still be stuck with the Ruger action. some times the simple way is the best way .

That seems like a lot of work. Bolt face, extractor and magazine would need to be modified to work with the larger case diameter of the 257. It would be a LOT easier if you started with a M77 already chambered for a belted magnum.
