870 Express Turkey With Rifled Slugs
« on: November 01, 2006, 06:58:04 AM »
I just thought I would share this information. I have the above shotgun non-camo verision. I was going to buy a slug barrell of either IMP. CYL or Rifled. Instead I went out and bought a Imp. cly. choke tube. Mounted  and old aim point saddle mount and a Bushnel 4x32 shotgun scope with Weaver rings. The only other modification I have done to the shotgun is a Limb Saver recoil pad. I then bought several boxes of rifled slugs 23/4 and went to the range. Once the inital sight in was done[ I'm very thankfull for the Limb Saver recoil pad] I moved the target out to 50yd. The Winchester and the Federal performed the same. The rest weren't close the results were at 50 yds. were 11/2 groups from a rest and I don't use a rear bag only front suported. I'm very confident of the set up out to 75 yards. By the way did I say I was thankfull for my Limb Saver Recoil pad! I chose the Winchester ammo because of eaiser adaviliby. My point is try your with something like this and you might be surprised.
