Re-loads in the Bar
« on: October 28, 2006, 07:18:28 PM »
I have read that The bar only handles loads recomended by manufacture.
I need to know if anyone has shot reloads in theirs.
I talking mainly in 30-06 and 338 Win Mag. Hot loads and mild loads.

I reload for my 25-06 and 30-06, my brother in-law does his 7 mag and 300 mag. No problems at all. You need to keep your loads in the "safe range" for the gas operation to work right. I think Browning like all manufacturers are just covering themselves from lawsuits.

I used RL-25 in my BAR 300 mag. This caused problems since this is a slow burning powder. Powders of medium burn rate are recommended.
