Slugs in brass cases
« on: October 28, 2006, 02:51:03 PM »
Have any of you had any sucess loading slugs in the full length brass cases?  Im just getting started without much information and just about zero luck.  Id ultimately like to be able to load them  with atleast some of the slub exposed, like a paradox gun.  BUT at this point I'll start with the slug inside the case.  Ive got lots of the Magtech brass in a number of different sizes for experimenting; but the thinner case size over plastic is causing me problems.  Im considering ordering turned cases from RMC to get the thickness I need; but the cost is keeping back if its gonna be another waste.

Ive read some about "simple" loading with plastic and paper cases; but cant find much about full brass cases.  Ive even seen "antique" rounds with the brass pinched at the top over the slug.  Im guessing that is a one time use case, and Id consider that if I could use the "cheaper" Magtech cases........if it would work.

Any thoughts and coments please
