Scope Bases...Opinions

  I have a Leupold one peice mount&rings on my new Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe as suggested by my Dad and others I have talked to.  I always like the looks of the two-piece however.  Can I get some opinions on this setup I found on the Weatherby website?

Those ringmounts are made by Talley---good stuff.

I would have suggested the Talley one piece rings but you're already on to them. I have them on my Rem 7600 and they're great if the scope is going to stay put. If you have sights and want to take the scope off at times the one piece rings wouldn't be a good choice.

Well I see because the magic symbols "CNC" is mentioned they must be fantastic  Although a good quality CNC is repeatable it still requires skilled monitoring for tooling i.e cutter wear. However some CNC machines are not accurate because the basic machine is not up to it regardless how good the control system is.

    The mounts in the photo look quite clunky but then again the phot ain't very good quality  . I wonder is Conetrol still in business. Nice streamlined mounts with a good repetation  .

Talley makes some good mounts for sure.
