I saw a new browning 30 06 with a stainless barrel and a beautiful walnut monte carlo satin stock (not gloss). the dealer (Gander Mountain) identified it as a stainless stalker. I cannot find such a rifle in the 2003 browning catalog or on line. The "White Gold" model is a gloss finish in the catalog and weighs 7 lbs 3 oz. The rifle at the dealer felt lighter. I recently bought a blued hunter model in 308 because I liked the light weight and a stainless barrel with a walnut stock was not aavailable. Is there such a model and what is the model code number?
