First hog with a handgun, from Sonoma county Ca

I recently got my first hog with a handgun. It was killed with a 44 mag super redhawk and 300 grain hardcast LBTs pushed by 296.
Hog weight about 150lbs, not a giant boar, but the smile on my face couldn't have been bigger.

Congrats on the handgun pig.   I have  taken a few with a handgun and they are all trophies.

Believe me, I was smiling, just not in that picture. It just happened to be the best picture of the pig.
A friend of mine owns ther property and I have hunted it several times before. I have always seen deer, turkeys, quail and band tailed pigeons but never a pig, despite all the sign and property damage. Finally one showed up, right before dark. The property is very steep and rugged. The pig ran into a steep canyon after I shot him. We were worn out after draggin him out, but very happy to be successful.
