old topic on haunted New England

I remember a good while back reading a topic on some haunted woods in New England, supposedly one of the most haunted places in the world- stories of demons and stuff in the woods. I think I remember one post of tracks in the snow of a hooved animal that walked upright.  I cant remember the name of the place, can anyone help me out, or does anyone even know what I'm talking about?
