Agood light load for the tracker2
« on: October 16, 2006, 06:22:51 AM »
Hi all,
I went to the range the other day with my rifled tracker.(12guage)
I forgot the recoil factor. I was using 7/8 oz. lee home made and 39gr of unique.
Man I tell you they will slap the snot right out of you. At 50 yards standing, I was all over the place. Using a rest sitting, I could make one ragged hole about 3" to the left of dead center. I know I was dreading the recoil while standing, so I don't blame the gun or load. I would like to know if any of you load a light load with the lee slugs, both 7/8 and 1oz.
I also have the hasting slug kit that comes with a plastic roll crimp, hull, and sabot slug, all you have to do is add powder and crimp.
These are absolute tack drivers, but brutal to shoot.
I will only be shooting out to 75 yrds. max. So help me out if you can.
Thanks, Stan
