Curdog had some boys from Alaska come in friday for a hunt Saturday. We had a great time swapping stories that night and got up a little before daylight Saturday morning to get the dogs ready.we headed to a new place i found and told them we didn't know much about it,but a friend of mine told me he seen about 30 big hogs three nites before when he went to feed his cows.So we got there about 7:30 and cut the dogs loose. We hadn't got 200 yards when the dogs bayed and we took off to them when we got there they had a about 275 pound boar bayed.Curdog had my catchdog sampson and cut him loose,he slammed the hog and the other dogs helped then, curdog grabbed the hog by the back legs and told one of the men to spear it.This was a spear hunt insted of knife this time, they wanted to use spears.Well we got it loaded and headed back to dress it out and get some breakfast, then come back because it was just 10 by then.We got back about 10:30 and cut the dogs loose again. We hunted for about a hour and a half around this bend in the bayou that took us back to the truck.About 2 to 3 hundred yards from the truck, one of my dogs and curdogs dogs struck and the rest joined in.We took off after them and it was so thick you could not get through it fast.My brother-inlaw had my other catchdog homer and it jerked aloose from him,i found a clear spot and ran to where they had him bayed in the water in the bayou, this boar which was a little smaller but twice as mean was knocking are dogs off when homer came charging over the side and caught, everbody was trying to get there and i went off in the water and got him by the back legs. Curdog got there after that and came in to help me drag him out so the hunters could spear him..we had a great hunt and the hunters took home alot of meat.Life couldn't have been better that day. we will have more pictures of the hunt when curdog gets his,and heres a few that i took
