500 S&W

Has anyone sent in a reciever for the 500 S&W barrel? Are they available? How about the 35 Whelen? Thanks much guys. Been gone for a while.

A guy showed me a picture of him and his VERY LARGE BROWN BEAR that he took with his 500 S&W Handi with the 375 grain Barnes bullet. One shot. :o

Isn't the 500 S&W a high pressure cartridge?  Been wondering about a levergun in this cartridge....
The Handi Rifle hasn't had any problems with this round then I take it?  Hmmmmmmm  May just get to try this cartridge out yet, without breaking the bank.

I've made that point before about the .500S&W not being a high pressure barrel by H&R's standards as they don't list it with an asterisk on the accessory barrel list, but I believe it should be at a SAAMI MAP of over 50kpsi with that case head size.

Hmmmmmm.  This may just have to be the first then...........................

Been curious about this cartridge since it came out.  Looks to be a good, close up heavy hitter.
