Several years ago I sold my Browning BPR in 7 Rem mag. The rifle was in excellent condition and I had only shot a few boxes of ammo thru it. I needed the money and away she went. While talking with some buddys about a week ago I was saying I wished I had never sold it.  Out of the blue the guy I sold it to called me today and asked if I wanted it back. He said he shot less than a box thru it, it's been sitting in the gun cabinet and money has gotten tight. So saturday she's coming back home. I can't wait. It's a shame Browning discontinued them as they are great guns.

I love mine too!  Just wish that you did not have to put the sling swivel on the barrel.  I have not put a sling on mine because of this.  It is a 7 Mag. that I won in a raffle.  I call it my free gun.  It shoots Remington factory 150 gr. loads into 1.125" at 100 yds.

Tom, I installed a sling stud in the forearm and it works fine, just watch the length. Congrats on the freebie they are the best kind. I don't remember what load I had working in it. I have Rem 140, 150, and 160 loads, I guess I'll try the 150 first and see what happens.     Dave

45/70 Thanks for the tip.  I will try it.  I didn't mention that the free gun thing got even worse.  I also won a Remington 20 ga. 870 on the same $5.00 ticket.  I gave it to my wife and she took credit from the gun shop on a new 25-06.
