2006 Browning successful hunts
« on: October 11, 2006, 04:11:57 PM »
Just finished opening the antelope season. Used my Browning BLR 257 Roberts, with a handloaded 100 gr Hornady Interlock. I love my BLRs!!

Buck taken at 382 yds.

Doe taken at 247 yds.

Yep, there are four there.

This is not the ideal way to open an antelope hunt! Thank goodness the snow was there for only one day.

Nice Antelope, and great looking rifle, I just love the looks of the straight grip BLR's!!

The picture to the left is of me and a Dall Sheep Ram I took in 2005, so it doesn't exactly qualify for this post, but thought I'd metion it anyways since I was here looking at your pictures.

Ram was taken w/my Browning Stainless Stalker .30-06 w/Leupold 3X9 compact, I just love that rifle!!

Come on, who else has been out hunting w/their Brownings????

I killed a whitetail doe here in New York State with my A-bolt II Hunter .243, topped with a Leupold VX-I 4-12x. I had never shot a deer with that rifle. I also shot a 7 point buck with my Stainless Stalker .30-06. That rifle is topped with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x. That is the 4th deer for the .30-06 since I bought two years ago.

Here are three whitetails taken with the 257 Roberts. I like the way this caliber knocks them down!!
