Makarov Pistol
« on: October 09, 2006, 01:59:15 PM »
I have a deal on a Makarov pistol, in .380 acp for $150.
Fired a few times, otherwise NIB. This is owned by a good friend and co-worker, whom I trust completely. Is the price right, and any other info on this particular gun?

I would definately get that pistol...I've been looking for one in .380 myself.

I had a Bulgarian in 9mm Makarov and sold it...didn't like the odd recoil on it...snapped back and to the left when fired.
Would always rub my thumb knuckle joint raw...actually have a scar from repeated firings.

Thanks Guys,
I did a little reading on the .380 ACP, and found that it has quite a few different names. (Twenty to be exact)
Sounds like it'll be a fun round to shoot and reload for.
Thanks again for the info.

I have always liked the 9x17,,
It is normally a very accurate round.
Low recoil and usefully powerful.
The only problem I have with the Mak. handguns is
their weight. they just seem very heavy to me.
