I am ready to pack
« on: May 06, 2005, 07:17:08 AM »
Being off from work with what it took four doctors to tell me is a damaged nerve in my right leg, I have too much time on my hands waiting to heal. So far it looks like I will still be able to go. A P.D. hunt is something I stared talking about over 3yrs ago so when this came up it was like a dream come true, been wanting to meet some of the folks on this forum and do a little shooting sounds just about right. I have all my loads done they may not be much but will still go bang, would like to do a little more sitting in but if that don't happen that is O K. Got one more Doc to see next week may be he will have the magic shot. One of the problems is I can set for long I can stand or lay down. Oh well this has been long enough. I am still a happy puppy. :D

Deadeye you old smooth talker you, I have gotten in trouble with words before. I was at the hardware store a couple of years ago and asked the clerk, who I know from going in there all the time, for my "old fart's discount", a 5% discount extended for those 55 years of age and older. The "senior" behind me, probably about 87 years old really took offense and started to berate me, stating it was a "senior citizen discount" as it is called on the promotion material for the store, I walked out of the store with my tail between my legs and a BIG smile on my face, thinking, BOY!! now there is an actual "old fart"!!!  I was thinking, when you can't laugh at yourself you might as well pack it in....<><....

P.S. hellacatcher...my mom had pekenese dogs...she would probably be too hot at the shoot but would be welcome to stay in my Air conditioned room and watch TV all day if she wants....  :-D  :-D
