thelaw,
You could get very varied opinions on this one. My Boss Browning has a 20" barrel, but the Boss adds another appx. 2" to the barrel length, so it is as long as a 22" barrel. My rifle handles just fine and the stock doen't cause me any agravation. I like the palm swell of my ABolt II Composite Stalker. However, I'll be the first to say that the Boss just doesn't look good on the end of the barrel. In fact, it's just plain ugly. It weighs six pounds without the scope.
But, I like the looks of nice deep blueing and pretty walnut. I don't think the synthetic/black/stainless rifles are much for lookers. However, I am very fond of my Boss Browning because of the way it shoots. Hornady 139g'ers go into nice .75" groups, regularly. I also have both "Bosses" and use the "conventional recoil" version in order to cut down on the noise level.
