I know after reading this subject matter that tons of benelli owners are looking for my address and will come and flog me, but before you do, it aint what you think. I was on one of the best dove hunts of my life last september and was swatting the doves right out of the sky when I went to pick up a dove in the corn field and noticed a recoil pad. I picked it up and started back. I saw a dove take off so I raised my M2 and fired. Well I got a beating. It was my recoil pad off my benelli M2. I popped it back in and kept on shooting. It fell off again. Anyone else had this experience?
The M2 is my favorite shotgun of all time and I have put a few thousand through it with zero problems to this point. I think I am gonna tape it to assure I dont loose it again. Any other ideas before I put duct tape on a $1,200 shotgun?
