finally scored with the handi.
« on: December 27, 2010, 03:34:26 AM »
Well, I got my first handi this year in 44 mag and have been hunting with it pretty hard this year so far. I have passed on a pile of does and some very young bucks, but just couldn't help myself yesterday when a 3 to 3.5 yr old six point decided to stroll by looking for does. One shot, 50 yds, extremely dead deer that went down where he stood. I am going to have to name this gun "No Tracking Needed". Bullet entered a little high and behind front right shoulder, turned lungs into jelly, took out bottom of spine, and exited with about a silver dollar sized hole. Couldn't ask for anything better. Have some pics but they are 35mm. Its the only camera I had at the time, but I will try and get them up soon.

Winchester white box, 240 gr. I believe. They seem to shoot the best out of this gun.
