A public "Thank You" for Quickdtoo, Tim

I don't want to go into details on this, but I just got a package in the mail from Tim that included a custom 18 inch .38-55 barrel, 200 core bonded bullets and a pack of shim stock.  This is a project quite a while in the making, and Tim made it all possible.  The barrel jumped on the first frame I offered it.  Wham bam.  Locked up tight as a gnats butt.  I've got the powder and the brass, stocks and sights.  The first deer this Fall will be named Patrick Timothy, and will go in the freezer marked as such i.e. "Back Strap, PTM 2010"

Tomorrow will be loading day, and Wednesday will be sighting day, and Thursday shooting day, and Friday........????  Early start on the season???  Bite yer tongue, Pete.

This is just another example of the wonderful people that congregate here.  All of us need to be grateful for that.

I need to call him and thank him personally, but he's fishing today, and hopefully cleaning fish this evening.  I'll call him tomorrow.

Unfortunately Pete, no fish today, I think the Handi gods hexed me for going fishing and not shooting!!  ::)  Glad ya got the barrel and bullets, and that it fit the first frame you slapped it on, thought maybe the shims might make it easy if it didn't, looking forward to your range report, I'll be doing the same tomorrow I think, I have a batch all loaded up with Reloder 7.  ;)

Tim, you are the one to be thanked.  The shim stock is kinda like my torch....I carry it out to the grill everytime I light it, and it intimidates the grill ignighter and I don't need it.  Of all the Handi's I now have, none are shimmed.  The shim stock will do the same.  By some miracle I've been able to swap them all around so everything fits ;D ;D ;D  I'll have the rifle together in a few minutes and will attempt to post a picture.  I tried to do the shattered chrony support yesterday, and instead of the picture, I got computer giberish.  Don't know why.  It never happened before doing the exact same thing.
