Well I tried to see if it would lock up, nadda so I will probably wait until after our general rifle season to work on it.  ::)

Thanks to Tim for having this in the FAQ's area http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,82412.msg504758.html#msg504758

ya that really work well, I think Many of the fellers here have done just that.

Tim uses a brass drift pin in .375 (which btw is 3/8"), I went to work and asked the mechenic if I could borrow a new 3/8 drill bit, and after explaining he handed me a piece of "Drill Rod" said I could keep it,,worked great.
First attempt I had too thick a piece of shim stock,,again follwed directions and bought a feeler gauge, and found just the right thickness, I will still have at least one more shim from that same blade if needed from the same gauge. I used the jb weld and so far it's been hanging in there 6 months or so. (knock on wood) I'm carefull to keep the hinge and pin lubed well, and of course the shelf dry.
