Topper 148 ?

 I bought daughters boyfriend a single shot that kicks like a mule. Yeah I didn't like him. Figured he would get the hint. Instead he used it for squirrels and that deer season . Then he bought a better gun ok a couple. Now he is an ex boyfriend and one of my hunting buddies (daughter hates us both)

 Anyways, the stock is ugly so I modified a stock for him. I was looking at the gun today and noticed it is a Topper 148. No numbers no the side, bottom, back or front. Has the push down release. Bluing is gone, but not pitted. It has a 12 gage barrel, snap on for end.

 question 1, does it have any value(trying to decide to have refinished or just paint)
 question 2, are there specific barrels or can most handi barrels be fitted.

 I looked thru the FAQ, Also Searched the forums

The 148 is a shotgun only as far as I know, Numrich lists only shotgun barrels for it, whether modern Pardner barrels will fit I don't know, H&R won't touch it, it was made before they went belly up in 1986, I certainly wouldn't recommend putting any rifle barrel on it even if it fit.
